on the other side of this paper is our months.  I got a large roll of brown paper at Home Depot or Lowes for about $5.  I have it hanging from a beam in my kitchen.

Today I introduced the colors Black and White.
While the girls colored their ice cream scoops and caterpillar circles I sang the Black color song and the White color song.  They know these songs already and we often sing them in the car.  By second semester after we sing our last song for calendar time we will also sing all the color songs.  My girls love singing so it works well for us.  Here is a list of all the color songs but I will also post them as we color new colors:  Color Songs
